People with long-standing diabetes are at an increased risk of developing Chronic Kidney Damage. However, once kidney disease sets in, diabetics have an increased risk of developing dangerously low blood sugar levels or Hypoglycemic episodes.
Diabetics with kidney disease should therefore frequently monitor their blood sugars.
